Olympics reflection

For Olympics we had to chose a sport that we wanted to compete in and then we had to find all of the rules. I learnt some of the rules and some fun facts. Next time I am going to find some more facts.

Numeracy Reflection

Numeracy

As you might already know we have been doing fractions this term. We have been going on Khan academy then we have to retell what we are learning. I don't like doing this activity because I am not very good at retelling what I have been learning. I learnt how to do word problems. Next time I am going to try harder and complete a level on khan academy.

Literacy

This week we had to read this piece of writing and say it with punctuation. I found this pretty hard to do but I did like doing the screencastify. Next time I am going to try and remember to change the title to DLO. I improved my screencastify skills.


We also had to do the lets eat grandma activity. My friend did this last term so I knew what to do. I learnt how important punctuation is. Next time I am going to do it a bit quicker and think outside the box.

We also have been looking at FANBOYS and this week we had to write sentences and add Maori words. We used the Maori dictionary. I learnt lots more Maori words. Next time I am going to write more in Maori.

Book week 2016

Book character day
Today was book character Day and I dressed up as Geronimo Stilton. I wore a green waist coat and then under that I wore a white crinkly top. The pants that I wore were black even though Geronimo Stiltons pants are green but I didn't have any green pants and to top it all of I wore some nerdy glasses and a red bow tie. The night before book character day I asked Mum if she could come to the assembly and she said yes. When I got to school there were no teaches around because they were all in the staff room getting into their costumes. I was a bit confused but then I remembered every book character day there are no teachers in class.

Then I went and showed my Mum the new library and after that we went to assembly suddenly all the teachers came rushing in but some of them were not in there when all of the teaches were there they done a little play. After the play all of the classes went up Mamaku 2 was 1st and I said my name 1st after all of the classes went up we went to find the golden ticket but we didn't find it.

Door display 
Also for book week all of the classes have to do a door display we dicided to do the BFG and also the charlie and the chocolate factory every one in the class had to help with the door I done lots of things like I had to put spoon fulls of glitter in the jar for the BFG and my friends had to fill the jars with water and put 2 drops of food coloring in the jar after that we had to put labels on the jars so you can tell what type of magical potion it is!

Wacky Wednesday (Thursday) 
This year we had wacky Wednesday on Thursday I wore odd shoes and I had cupcakes in my hair we also had the Olympic games on that day but my favorite part of the day was when Mr wood read us some books in the after noon my favorite book was 101 gross things the 1st one was Brussel sprouts wow so much stuff.

T2W3 Reflection 2016

Olympics 

this week for Olympics we had lots of tasks to do one of them was a inspirational story I found difficult writing it out in my own words because some of the words that the text said I didn't know what they were talking about so I had to google it. I know your all wondering where I got the facts from I googled all of them I didn't come across any fake facts witch i'm happy about I learnt a lot of new skills like I learnt to check my facts on lots of different websites to check they were true facts I also learnt a lot of facts but the best one was that she got a 10 from the judges.  

This week I also completed my compare and contrast sheet I found the ancient and the modern easy but I found the same really hard because there wasent much stuff the the same. I also didn't find any untrustworthy websites on this one. My skill that I learnt is two find out stuff that is the same. The coolest fact that I learnt was that There was canoeing back in the ancient Olympics

T3W2 reflection

This week we have been working on Olympic profiles. What we had to do is choose someone from New Zealand who is going to the Rio Olympics. Then write a profile about them I chose Trent Jones, he is a BMX rider I learnt a lot of facts about him. We had to insert word art and text boxes to hold our information and we also had to change the background.  

I also did Glenn Snyders. I learnt that he is getting married 2 weeks after the Rio Olympics. He is going to compete in the breaststroke at the Olympics. For this I had to insert pictures I decided to do the background black and then do colors.   

Once we had finished the athlete profile we had to do a country I chose Egypt. Next time I am going to find more facts about Egypt. I learnt that there is 82 million people there!! I chose to put in a moving flag but you cant see it because this is a screen shoot.

This week I also did my speech I chose do my trip to Queens town I was very neverse  but when i got up there I wasent as nerves here is a video of it I hope you can here it!

for maths I learnt how to do algorithms all by my self. I was very proud of my self I couldn't believe I done it!
