My new teacher

Miss Reissmann is my new teacher this year. i am looking forward to learning how to do 2 digit by 3 digit multiplication.
Here is my 5 W poster this is what I did for topic this week I found it easy because I like working with slides.

Numeracy/topic reflection T4 W6

This week for topic and numeracy we have been working  on a google map showing where the worst tornadoes have struck. I liked doing this activity way more than what we usually do for numeracy. Next time I am going to write bigger sentences. I will do this by researching more about tornadoes.    

Topic Reflection T4W3

This term for topic we are working on water safety.
Yesterday I made this DLO of rules at the beach. I really liked doing this because I like doing lists of rules. I think the most important rule is do not swim at the beach alone. Next time I am going to manage my time better

T2W3 Reflection 2016

Olympics 

this week for Olympics we had lots of tasks to do one of them was a inspirational story I found difficult writing it out in my own words because some of the words that the text said I didn't know what they were talking about so I had to google it. I know your all wondering where I got the facts from I googled all of them I didn't come across any fake facts witch i'm happy about I learnt a lot of new skills like I learnt to check my facts on lots of different websites to check they were true facts I also learnt a lot of facts but the best one was that she got a 10 from the judges.  

This week I also completed my compare and contrast sheet I found the ancient and the modern easy but I found the same really hard because there wasent much stuff the the same. I also didn't find any untrustworthy websites on this one. My skill that I learnt is two find out stuff that is the same. The coolest fact that I learnt was that There was canoeing back in the ancient Olympics     

T3W2 reflection

This week we have been working on Olympic profiles. What we had to do is choose someone from New Zealand who is going to the Rio Olympics. Then write a profile about them I chose Trent Jones, he is a BMX rider I learnt a lot of facts about him. We had to insert word art and text boxes to hold our information and we also had to change the background.  

I also did Glenn Snyders. I learnt that he is getting married 2 weeks after the Rio Olympics. He is going to compete in the breaststroke at the Olympics. For this I had to insert pictures I decided to do the background black and then do colors.   

Once we had finished the athlete profile we had to do a country I chose Egypt. Next time I am going to find more facts about Egypt. I learnt that there is 82 million people there!! I chose to put in a moving flag but you cant see it because this is a screen shoot.

This week I also did my speech I chose do my trip to Queens town I was very neverse  but when i got up there I wasent as nerves here is a video of it I hope you can here it!

for maths I learnt how to do algorithms all by my self. I was very proud of my self I couldn't believe I done it! 

Week 2 reflection

as part of our Anzac activity,s we had to create A soulger survive kit I liked this activity I learnt that they will need medicine because they always get bad wounds     

  Spider report

Did you know that there is only sea spiders in  Antarctica. there is 35,000 different  species of spiders !!!!!

What they eat

Spider eat just about every type of bug such as smaller spiders,millipedes,flies,beetles etc. some bigger spiders eat small rabbits and birds. Some spiders even eat their baby spiders. Also some spiders eat food scraps Like meat. Spiders will also eat leaves.

Appearance

Spiders have A smooth hairy skin. They have 8 legs and some even have 8 eyes. I would describe them as creepy vampires. Some spiders are colorful and some are just black . Some spiders are big and some spiders are small.

Habitat

Some spiders live in the bush and some spiders live in houses. Spiders Like to live in A warm dry place. Spiders even make their own houses with there web in the long grass. Spiders also like to live on the side of the house. They also will take over abandoned houses

I learnt that there is sea spiders in Antarctica now I know that there is sea spiders in Antarctica I found this activity hard here is a sea spider here is A link to sea spiders

Duck race 2016

On Sunday grey main school is having a duck race

how does the duck race work well what happens is each class gets a ruber duck to decorate then the teacher has to chose someone to take the ruber duck home and decorate then on Sunday at Dixon park each class will take there ruber ducky down to dixon park then they will put all the ducks in the river and watch them race. here is what mamaku 2 duck looks like
